Derma Geek

Derma Geek is a Gen-Z targeted, transparent, and affordable drug-store skincare brand.

They believe in ingredient transparency and the power of science, so you always know what you’re using and why they include it in their formulas.

Rebrand Goal

While pushing the scientific aspect of their identity, this package undersells the quality and excitement of the product.

GOAL: Move away from the clinical look and make it a package that stands out on the shelf with it’s illustrative boldness.

A rebrand…of a rebrand.

Interestingly enough, I had chosen to re-brand this project a year ago, and since I always felt that I wanted to do more with the concept.

I chose to revisit it and challenge myself and to try a more illustrative and playful approach to the skincare line.

As well as explored how the brand may extend into additional assets.

I created a new custom logotype, and chose colors that nod to their original neon color scheme.

With the label design, I chose to accompany the colorful illustrations by playing with type hierarchy.
